23:30// 12 minutes into the 5th episode of “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History”, and I consider how we are similar to Franklin & Eleanor. I love you dear, come whatever may. Be well.

23:35// Further, listening to bits of the first fireside chat, I realize how the Roaring Zeros were just as absurd, if not more so, as I experienced them to be. As a nation, our dreaming is both our greatest virtue and our greatest vice. With our boundless faith, we create prosperous new realities. With our blind optimism, we just as easily sidestep into hell. Our awareness and moderation of our mixed blessing is key to our success — as individuals and as a collective whole. We are virtually limitless in our abilities, but must limit ourselves to produce the society of our dreams. To be an American is to perform. There is no passive being in this land.

23:46// In the next few weeks, I decide whether to continue my pursuit of design or to pursue a life in politics. My 30s are going to be a prolific time for me, one way or another.
